Liezl Van Zyl

Liezl van Zyl is an information designer and co-founder of Hey Plain Jane, a South African agency specialising in legal communication. Holder of an MPhil in Document Design from Stellenbosch University, she designs documents that readers understand and actually use. Co-creator of the Legal Design Sandbox, a free legal design training resource, she draws on design thinking, behavioural economics and cognitive psychology. A judge at the Plain Language Awards, she teaches legal design internationally.
