Elizabeth de Stadler

Elizabeth de Stadler describes herself as a rehabilitated lawyer. Founder of Novcon and co-creator of the Legal Design Sandbox, she discovered plain language through South African legislation requiring consumer-facing documents to be comprehensible. She draws on behavioural science, cognitive psychology and design thinking to transform legal documents. A speaker and legal stand-up comedian, she presents at WorldCC and teaches plain language writing.
